Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

WARWICK and Leamington MP Chris White met engineers to check the progress of the sewer improvement works taking place in Leamington town centre.

The Tory MP visited the work site near the town hall in Regent Grove where he spoke to Mark Lasance, project manager for contractor NMCNomenca and Chris Keys, senior project engineer for Severn Trent which is overseeing the improvements.

Mr White said it was important for the companies to keep traders and shoppers informed of progress.

He said: “It was useful to actually see the extent of what is going on.

“Inevitably there will be disruption but the work needed to be done and as long as Severn Trent are keeping people informed they will bear with it.”

The work in the Parade should be completed by November.
