Cllr David Shilton, who is responsible for policy on neighbourhood services, said: “The council regrets the recent closures of the Glasshouse and the disappointment this will have caused residents and visitors to Leamington but until this problem is resolved we cannot afford to cover the costs and distress it is causing our staff and members of the public.”

The Restaurant in the Park, to which the Glasshouse is attached, is also owned by the district council and is being leased to RLS Events who open it for functions such as weddings.
