Join in a ‘wassail’ at village spots
‘EVIL beasties’ will be driven away as part of an annual tradition in Long Itchington.
The Plum Jerkum Border Morris troupe will conduct a ‘wassail’ tour of the village on Saturday January 14 to promote a good harvest for the year. Performing alongside will be the Alvechurch morris group, Anstey Morrismen and the Warwick Uni Rapper.
The event begins at the Duck on the Pond at 11am and travels to the Country Store, Harvester, Malt Kiln Cottage and arrives at the Green Man at 2.15pm.
