Jubilee signpost in Norton

Villagers in Norton Lindsey have had a signpost erected as a memorial to Queen Elisabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.

High Sheriff of Warwickshire Claire Hopkinson unveils the sign in Norton Lindsey with parish council chairman Nick Burns.

After the village celebrated the recent event for Queen Elizabeth II, there remained some funds which formed the core funding for a permanent memorial.

The parish council lead a fundraising campaign for the sign, which is similar to one which was put up at the start of the last century to mark Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
