Just Ian but he has friends to thank too

Ian Burnell moved into the room above the shop, Just Ian, he now owns in Coppice Road in 1987.

At the time he employed only one junior assistant.

A friend suggested he called it “Ian’s, just Ian’s” and this he how he picked the name.

At first it was only Mr Burnell’s Stratford clients who came to the shop but people living nearby started to give the business a try and after 18 months he was able to move to the vacant shop downstairs.

Mr Burnell said: “I’m quite overwhelmed to have been through different decades and to have gotten to know so many customers and their families.

“I’ve also provided Leamington with some really good stylists over the years.

“I couldn’t have done it without the support of my mother and my cousin Emily.”
