Kenilworth bell ringers play three-hour piece for siege

A group of bell ringers from St Nicholas Church rang a peal of bells to commemorate the 750th anniversary of the Siege of Kenilworth.

Doug Kempton, Victoria Kempton, Chris Bostock, Tony Cox, Simon Reading and Alan Reading continuously rang the bells for almost three hours on Saturday July 30.

They named the tune ‘Siege of Kenilworth Delight’, with a ‘delight’ being a technical term for how the piece is played.
