Kenilworth residents invited to vote on town's policing priorities

People can vote for what they think police should focus on before the next Kenilworth Community Forum, which will be held on Monday March 13 in the Kenilworth Centre at 6.45pm.

The options are: High-visibility burglary patrols in Burton Green to prevent and detect offences and provide reassurance to the community.

High-visibility patrols in Abbey Fields, Kenilworth to prevent and deal with anti-social behaviour.

High-visibility anti-social behaviour patrols Gypsy Lane, Kenilworth to prevent and deal with anti-social behaviour.

High-visibility foot patrols in Kenilworth town centre to prevent and deal with incidents of theft and anti-social behaviour, and to provide reassurance to businesses and the public.

High-visibility burglary and reassurance patrols in Abbey ward (Clinton Lane, Bridge Street, Albion Street, Brookside Avenue etc) to prevent and detect offences and provide reassurance to the community.

High-visibility burglary and reassurance patrols in Park Hill ward (Glasshouse Lane, Leyes Lane, Dalehouse Lane, Common Lane, Coventry Road, Knowle Hill etc) to prevent and detect offences and provide reassurance to the community.

The forum follows a spike in crime during 2016, which saw yearly figures the highest they had been for at least five years. Inspector Dafydd Goddard of Warwickshire Police said police operations have been deployed to try and combat the rise.
