The trail, known as the ‘Bunny Hop Easter Egg Hunt’, can be completed by children every day in Kenilworth from Saturday March 19 to Saturday April 2, and will reward children with an Easter egg for their efforts.

A map of the trail can be picked up from any of the 21 participating shops, which can be identified by having Easter egg posters in their windows, showing they are part of the trail.

Once a map has been picked up, a sticker can be collected from each shop along the trail in any order. Children can then stick them on their map, and once they have all been collected, they can head to Kenilworth News in Station Road where the Easter Bunny has kindly dropped off some of his Easter eggs as prizes, with help from Waitrose and Wilko.

The trail was organised by two owners of independent shops in the town, Catherine Colby-Johnson of Aunty Agatha’s and Judy Brook of Kenilworth Books.

Judy said: “It’s a great way of supporting local businesses and having fun over Easter in Kenilworth.”

Town development officer Paul Garrison helped the pair set the trail up, and was full of praise for their hard work.

He said: “They’ve done a fantastic job in getting so many businesses on board with the trail. The really positive side of it is that various businesses coming together to support one another. In that sense the trail has already been a success.

“I certainly hope the bunny hop will be a success in itself, I think it should be because it’s a lot of fun for families.”
