Kineton Manor couple celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

The couple, who are residents at Kineton Manor Nursing Home, met at a party in Derby while they were still at school.

Margaret was 18 when they got engaged – Jack, two years older.

They married in March 1945.

They have two sons and a daughter, six grand-children, great-grand children and one great-great-grand-child.

When asked what was the secret to a long and happy married life, they both agreed that “being in love” was the answer.

Jack said: “I wouldn’t change Margaret for the world.”
