Kineton sixth formers have got talent - and raise £1,500

AN evening organised by Kineton sixth formers has raised more than £1,500 for charity.

Pupils at Kineton High School hosted their annual charity auction and race night earlier this month, at which parents and fellow pupils placed bids for a number of items, including signed Aston Martin
memorabilia, tickets to the Global Gathering summer music festival, a signed Manchester United football and a signed Warwickshire Cricket Club shirt.

The event, which was organised entirely by the school’s sixth formers, marked the start of Kineton High’s charities’ week, which included leg waxing, ‘Kineton’s Got Talent’, a ‘Miss World’ contest and games such as ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and ‘Take Me Out’. Funds from the week will be donated to the sixth form’s chosen charities for the year, Help For Heroes, the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, Make a Wish Foundation and Stand Up To Cancer.
