Kingsley girls win trophies
SPORTING spirit like that shown at the Olympic Games was celebrated at The Kingsley School with the presentation of two new trophies.
Bad weather caused the cancellation of the Leamington school’s sports days in June so they were rescheduled and the first-ever winners of the Kingsley Spirit of Sport Awards received the prizes, which will be awarded annually from now on.
Leamington mayor Cllr Yvonne Moore presented eight-year-old prep school pupil Molly Hunt with the new award.
And former Kingsley student Sarah Reader, the UK’s top female racing driver, handed the senior school trophy to Felicity Whelan, 12.
