Warwickshire County Council is proposing to introduce ‘super priority areas’ to replace the current system, under which priority is given to families who live within a school’s catchment area over those who live elswhere, even if they already have a sibling at the school.

Cllr Heather Timms said: “The move to merging primary school priority areas is a significant step and we are keen to hear from local families so that we can have a true picture of local issues.”

If the plans go ahead, the scheme will be rolled out to Leamington and other parts of the county. To submit views, visit www.warwickshire.gov.uk/admissionscriteriaconsultations
