Late night Warwick taxi driver assault

Police were called to the incident, which happened in Mill Street, Warwick at around 11.30pm at The Mill building, where a female was reported to be having an altercation with a taxi driver.

A member of staff tried to intervene and was assaulted in the face, but did not require medical treatment.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody at Leamington Police Station for questioning, before later being released on bail.

Police are trying to trace the taxi driver, and PC Mick McSweeney would also like to talk to the driver of a silver coloured Vauxhall people carrier who he believes was also assaulted and anyone else who witnessed the incident.
