Leamington and Wellesbourne awarded gold and Warwick awarded silver in Heart of England in Bloom competition

LEAMINGTON has won a Gold Award and Warwick has won Silver-Gilt Award in a major regional gardening competition.

The results for Heart of England in Bloom were announced at a presentation ceremony in Wolverhampton yesterday.

Wellesbourne also achieved a Gold Award in the Small Town category.

The , which is the regional element of the Britain in Bloom campaign, is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society which encourages communities to work together to enhance their and improve their environment.

Judges look for horticultural achievement and also responsibility to the environment and a display of community participation.
