Leamington family wins dream holiday to the USA

Matilda Fleming and her family were picked from thousands of nationwide cinema goers to win a VIP Wild West adventure following a visit to the Apollo Cinema in Portland Place.

Ms Fleming entered the competition in March simply by booking tickets online for Wild West-themed animation Rango.

Having watched Rango with her two children Henry and Abbie, Ms Fleming had no idea that they would soon be visiting the area in which the film is based.

She said: “I was completely shocked and surprised to hear I’d won a family holiday to Las Vegas.

“In fact I couldn’t believe it and even thought the original email I got was a hoax.

“I’m delighted as I’ve never been to Las Vegas before and have always wanted to.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to bits.”

In addition to flights and seven nights’ accommodation in a four star hotel, the prize includes a guided helicopter tour over the Mojave Desert and into the Grand Canyon, a western ranch adventure including a ride in a horse drawn wagon, desert barbecue and lassoing, a full day VIP adventure to visit real Wild West ghost towns, one Stetson cowboy hat per person, a Nintendo Wii console, a Rango-themed hammock, a cactus cup, flip-flops, a water cooler and a harmonica.

The family plans to take the trip later in the year or next spring.
