Sandeep Rainu will be stepping out of her comfort zone this Sunday (March 5) running the Warwick Half Marathon to raise funds for a cause very close to her heart, the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF).

To markthe treatment Sandeep’s daughter Slyvie received after she needed an urgent liver transplant her ‘Slyvie’s Surfers’ will be clocking-up miles and pounds.

Sandeep said: “Last year was a tough one for us.

“Our little girl Sylvie suddenly suffered acute liver failure and needed a transplant to save her life.”

“We were lucky – she did not have to wait long for a new liver but the road to recovery was long and difficult and, although she is now bouncing around like any other four year old, we know that she will need treatment for the rest of her life.

“CLDF provided us with informationher condition which was really helpful and we know they will be there to support Sylvie as she grows up.

Sandeep added: “My family, friends and work colleagues at Coventry Building Society have been fantastic. I’m looking forward to seeing my husband Mike and my two cheerleaders - Sylvie and Ava- when I cross the finishing line.”
