Private Jack Law, of Colchester-based 2nd Exercise Blue Legionnaire, learnt French tactics, climbed the island’s snow-capped mountains and tackled a tough assault course. The 22-year-old former Trinity School pupil said: “There are soldiers from all over the world in their ranks and it’s been really interesting to get to know them.”
Pte Law has been in the army for three years. He is a qualified parachutist and plays in
midfield for the battalion football team.
