Leamington remembers the sacrifice of soldiers - 100 years on from the outbreak of First World War

Hundreds lined the streets of Leamington on Remembrance Sunday to pay their respects to the war dead.

A procession through the town centre was followed by the usual service at the war memorial in Euston Place, led by Chaplain Father Fabian Radcliffe, with musical accompaniment from the Cubbington Silver Band and All Saints church choir.

The Mayor of Leamington, Cllr John Knight, read out the traditional verses and was among the many who laid a wreath at the war memorial.
