Leamington Rotary Club’s Trees of Light to shine again

Standing outside Leamington town hall and St Margaret’s church in Whitnash, the trees will shine throughout the Christmas period.

And the rotarians are inviting people to dedicate lights to those they hold dear while making a donation to The Myton Hospices.

Club president Barry Frith said: “We are delighted to be supporting The Myton Hospices once again with our Trees of Light in Leamington and Whitnash.

The need for support for Myton is ongoing as they rely heavily on public donations to enable them to continue their programmes of care in the hospices and in the community.”

The Trees of Light enable people to remember relatives or friends who will not be with them this Christmas who have died, are in hospital or living abroad.

The lists of names will be displayed in the church porch and library in Whitnash and outside the town hall and inside the Royal Priors in Leamington, from the switch-ons and into the New Year.

The switch on events will take place in Whitnash on Saturday November 14 from 5.15pm and in Leamington on Sunday November 16 from 3.30pm.

The Myton Hospices care for up to 1,000 patients and their families each year.

They do this at their hospices in Warwick, Coventry and Rugby, and out in the Community with their Myton at Home service.
