Leamington school pupils ‘absorbed’ by baskets project

YOUNGSTERS at a Leamington school have tried their hand at potting and planting thanks to a donation by a nearby company.

Geotech in Kinsgway bought seven hanging baskets, potting compost and plants for Kingsway Primary School across the road.

Each of the school’s five classes made up a basket which are all now fully flowered.

Two have stayed at the school while five are now hanging up at Geotech’s offices.

Alan Berry, the company’s caretaker who organised the donation, and HR manager Sue Gardner said they hoped to give more baskets to the school next year.

The school has thanked Geotech for its kind offer and has said its pupils were both interested and absorbed by the ‘mini-gardening’ project.
