Lidl recalls some cheesecakes over egg concerns

The discount retailer is recalling packs of Milbona Strawberry Cheesecakes as they may contain Milbona Strawberry Trifles, which contain egg not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

People in the area, where Lidl has a store on Myton Road in Leamington, are urged to check the following details and follow the supermarket chain’s advice.

Product: Milbona Strawberry Cheesecakes, 3 x 100g pack.

With ‘Use by’ date: 12 June 2015.

Lidl advice to consumers:

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg, do not eat it.

Instead, return it to your nearest Lidl store for a full refund.
