Lillington to host Burma campaigner

International campaigner for freedom and democracy in Burma, Zoya Phan will be speaking at St Paul’s church in Leicester Street, Lillington, on Saturday.

The Warwick district branch of the UN Association is hosting the event, which was originally scheduled to take place in March but was postponed due to bad weather.

Zoya Phan campaigned for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi and has continued to work with world leaders in efforts to help bring democratic reform to Burma.

She and her family fled Burma when she was 14. She now lives as a refugee in London.
