Lucky escape after crash near Warwick

Two men who were in a van that was thrown into the air and flipped to its side in a crash near Warwick have luckily not been hurt.

The two men, one of whom was in his 20s and the other in his 30s, suffered only minor injuries following the incident, in which the van was in collision with a lorry on the A46 in Hampton-on-the-Hill.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene shortly after 3.30pm on Thursday (August 29) to find the van, pointing the wrong way on its side, and the lorry.

An ambulance spokesman said: “Fortunately, the two occupants from the van suffered no serious injuries. Crews assessed the men at the roadside, treating a few minor injuries, before discharging them from care at the scene as they didn’t require further hospital treatment.”

The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
