Major Rugby road closed due to ongoing incident

Police have closed a section of the A426 (Leicester Road) between the Tesco roundabout and the Avon Mill roundabout due to an ongoing incident.
A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: "Police were called at 2.30pm today, Monday October 16, following concerns for the welfare of a man sitting on the foot bridge located by the Peugeot garage on the A426, Leicester Road, Rugby.

Hide Ad"Police negotiators are currently at the scene and talking to a man in his 20s.
"Emergency services are in attendance.
The link road to the Junction One retail park from the A426 has also been closed to traffic.
