Make a splash for the 2011 Swimathon

On Sunday October 16 the waters of Warwick School’s sports centre will be churning and the hall filled with the cheers of fundraisers.

This year the charities are Myton Hospice and the Air Ambulance. Teams of up to six swim in relay for an 55 minutes.

Myton Hospice are putting together a team and communications officer Sara Fenton said: “We are delighted that the Soroptomists Swimathon is raising money for us this year and hope teams will get together and raise as much as possible.

“We need to raise £6.7 million a year through voluntary donations alone and rely on support from the local community so that we can continue to be here for our patients and their families when they need us most.”
