Man accused of shooting to go on trial

On April 16 2011 James Cooper, 25, who was raised in Kenilworth, and his friend James Kouzaris, 24, from Northampton, were shot dead in an area of Sarasota, Florida where they had been holidaying.

Shawn Tyson will appear in court on March 19, his 17th birthday, accused of the shooting.

It is still unclear why the pair were in a dangerous area in the early hours of the morning, and they did not appear to have been robbed.

Tyson also faces seven separate charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, in relation to two separate matters.
