Man arrested following rape in Leamington
A 26-year-old man from the town has been arrested on suspicion of rape and bailed until Tuesday April 7.

Hide AdThe incident took place on Riverside Walk close to the River Leam off Newbold Terrace East.
The victim, aged 19, was physically and sexually assaulted by a man unknown to her.
The suspect who gave his name as ‘Thomas’ is described as being white, in his mid to late 20s, 5’9”, of medium build, with dark brown hair.

Hide AdHe had a pale spotty complexion, bushy eyebrows, was clean shaven, spoke with a local accent and was smoking a cigarette when he approached the victim.
The man was wearing dark blue jeans, a grey top with long sleeves and a black jacket.
Det Chief Insp Pete Hill said: “I am particularly keen to hear from a male dog walker who walked passed the victim as she walked along the riverside footpath in the direction of the leisure centre. “I would also like to hear from anyone who used the footpath between 5pm and 7pm on Friday 13th March 2015 as they may hold valuable information that could assist identifying the attacker.”
