Man cautioned following bus assault

Officers put out an appeal for help after a woman was assaulted on the G1 bus in the town on September 5.

A man in his 20s has now been cautioned for the offence after being identified from witness accounts,

A spokesperson said: “With the help from the local community, we had three witnesses come forward and a man in his 20s as described was interviewed and cautioned following the assault.

“Officers are working together with the victim to provide support and reassurance.”
