Man cut from wreckage after crash near Bishops Tachbrook

FIREFIGHTERS cut a man from the wreckage of a car after a crash near Bishops Tachbrook on Monday afternoon (July 2).

The man was taken to Warwick Hospital on a spinal stretcher after being freed from a Renault Clio that had been in a collision with a 4X4 vehicle near the entrance to Tachbrook Hill Farm in Banbury Road shortly before 4.30pm.

There had been significant damage to the back of the Renault Clio, and the front of the 4X4 vehicle had been damaged.

According to a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman, people at the scene said the driver of the Clio had been unconscious for a time but had come round by the time emergency services arrived.

He was assessed by a doctor from the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance before being taken by land ambulance to Warwick Hospital.

A mother and daughter in the 4X4 were not injured.
