Man held after burglary in Lillington

A LEAMINGTON man has been remanded in custody in relation to a burglary in which a glass was smashed over a man’s head in Lillington this week.

The 27-year-old was remanded in custody when he appeared before magistrates in the town today (Friday July 6) charged with burglary following a break-in on Wednesday at around 4pm.

Assailants kicked open the door of a home in Crown Way, Lillington and a man sustained cuts to his head when a glass was smashed over it before criminals stole a quantity of money.

A second man at the address also sustained less serious injuries.
