Man injured in Leamington town centre attack

A MAN suffered head injuries after being attacked with a brick outside a Leamington bar early on Wednesday.

The victim, 20-year-old from Oxfordshire, suffered a fractured jaw, a cut above his eye and problems with his sight following the attack outside KoKos bar in Warwick Street at around 2am.

He was taken to Warwick Hospital and later transferred to University Hospital, Coventry.

Pc Andy Goldsmith from the Local Investigation team at Leamington is appealing for information from anyone who saw the incident or where the man’s attacker went after the assault.

It is believed the offender was one of a group seen at the scene and the victim was hit in the face with a brick.
