More parking for train passengers at Parkway

The new car park brings the number of spaces at the station up to 959 to meet the growing demand.

It was opened by Chiltern’s managing director Rob Brighouse and Lord Digby Jones of Birmingham, who is a regular commuter from the station

Mr Brighouse said: “Since the launch of Mainline over a year ago and our faster journey times, the number of passengers from Warwick Parkway has increased by 34.5 per cent. The new car park is the latest in a series of improvements across our network to ensure that we give our customers the best service possible both now and in the future.”

Lord Jones added: “It is such a privilege to be asked to open the new car park. The station itself is an enormous emblem of Chiltern’s commitment to the value-added service it provides to its customers and this new investment is further evidence of that commitment.

“The staff at the station are, of course, the secret of the station’s obvious success but their job has also become easier by the enhanced facilities the car park provides. The experience of travelling from Warwick Parkway has changed people’s perception of travel by train forever; the Parkway concept just got even better.”
