These provided advice such as how to use twitter and write press releases.
The national campaign was set up to highlight the five million small businesses which provide 60 percent of private sector jobs and nearly 50 percent of private sector turnover.

This day has become an important annual tradition and I believe it is vital to pay tribute to our small business and their contribution in making our area such a special place to visit.”
Ms Duxson, added: “Small businesses are the lifeblood of both the national and local economies. I would encourage everyone to discover them for themselves.”
