Napton has three celebrations

MEMORIES of Napton life over the last 100 years were shared on Saturday as a new conservatory was opened at the village hall.

As they celebrated 50 years of benefiting from the hall, residents also marked the opening of the new extension, built thanks to a grant from Biffaward.

Long-standing villager Beryl Griffin, who cut that first ribbon back in January 1962, was invited to do it again at a ceremony, at which Bob Crick told people about life in Napton from the 1940s to the 1960s and guests perused photographs of the village through its history.

And birthday girl Audrey Budd, who has been on the hall committee from the start, was presented with flowers.
