Neighbours in Leamington join forces against crime
BURGLARS in Leamington’s old town and surrounding areas are being targeted following a police recruitment drive for Neighbourhood Watch volunteers.
Officers, working with the existing Neighbourhood Watch organisation and Warwickshire County Council, have welcomed 55 new members and coordinators to the south Leamington group to help lower burglary rates in ‘hot spot’ areas.
Recruitment has also taken place in the area around the St Mary’s allotments, which has recently been targeted for shed burglaries and criminal damage.
