New books at Whitnash

NEW books worth a total of £1,500 will soon be filling the shelves at Whitnash library.

Warwickshire County Council’s library service put money aside for new titles after officials realised there were gaps in the shelves at the Franklin Road library and Cllr Bernard Kirton (Ind, Whitnash) said readers had complained about the ‘tired’ selection.

Now £1,000 has been put aside for adult fiction and £500 for non-fiction, with children’s books bought as part of a countywide process. Some are already in stock.
