Since station operator Chiltern Railways launched its ‘Mainline’ service last September, which reduced journey times to London Marylebone to 70 minutes, the number of passenger journeys from the station has increased by 34.5 per cent.

The company’s head of stations Chad Collins said: “Since the launch of Mainline, we have seen a huge increase in the number of passengers from the station and the opening of the new facility will allow for future planned growth.

“We’re delighted to be able to make the car park available for use ahead of the official opening, helping to improve our passengers’ expereince of travelling with us.”
