Games studio, The Digi Monsters, is now open in Hamilton Terrace where established designers hope to keep the town at the heart of new games and development.

Founded by former brains from Activision Blizzard’s FreeStyleGames - makers of Guitar Hero Live and DJ Hero games - the new studio will now work from game inception to final delivery.

Its founders, Mike Rutter, Piers Coe, Dave Moulder and Adam Conway, have a combined experience of over 50 years in the games world.

With their expertise on games such as Call Of Duty and Skylanders, they hope to keep Leamington at the centre of the industry.

Director, Mike Rutter, said: “We’re really excited to open a dedicated Art Studio as we passionately believe that the games industry should move to a more service-led model.

“We are all personally very excited by the prospect and the new challenges before us. It’s an industry we love and know very well.

“Our aim is to build long term relationships with industry teams both large and small, with a view to becoming seen as an external extension to well established in-house art teams.”
