New head of Warwick School is named

GUS Lock is to become the new head of Warwick School and will take over from Ed Haise, who is retiring next September after 11 years of highly regarded service.

Mr Lock, who is currently deputy head, says he looks forward to building on the ‘exceptional opportunities’ the more than 1,200 boys currently enjoy while maintaining the impressive standards laid down by Mr Haise.

A recent Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) report not only praised the pupils’ eagerness to learn but their personal development, describing the school as a place where courtesy abounds and helpfulness thrives.

Mr Haise said: “I am delighted with the inspectors’ views as they accurately recognise Warwick School as a safe, exciting, stimulating and challenging environment for our boys. I’m also extremely pleased to be handing the reins to Mr Lock, an exceptionally talented professional who possesses all the qualities necessary to ensure the school continues to progress in all areas.”
