The website also provides details of the facilities, including the outdoor spaces and social areas, as well as information about the unit’s STAR assessment tool, a piece of sensory equipment used to assess patient responsiveness. The hospital specialises in caring for people with acquired brain injuries.

The unit, which was recently expanded and now has 42 beds and improved and new facilities, was accredited as one of the top ten units in the country specialising in neuro-rehabilitation in 2012.
