Classes, which will run during school term times, will have no more than seven participants each and there will be continial assessments, allowing swimmers to move up to higher ability groups as they progress. Children will be given a badge as they reach each stage.

Freedom Fitness business manager Stuart Harding said: “I am extremely excited to be starting a swim school here at Warwick. The pool is perfect to learn in as it’s small, warm and quiet. Keeping our classes to a maximum of seven will ensure a high level of individual attention can be given to each swimmer.

“We are inviting youngsters and adults to join the swim school - it’s not just for our members or their children. We have chosen to do this as I believe swimming is a key skill and a vital life skill and I’d like to see as many people as possible in the area learn to swim.

“The swim school is part of our commitment to provide quality services for the whole community and we hope to see plenty of people learning to swim in the comfort and privacy of our pool.”
