For instance, elegant new railings or a well restored house will encourage others around to the do the same; improving the streets, keeping Leamington looking good - and making it an even better place to live.
Good modern architecture is encouraged, particularly if the new complements the old.
The Award certificates are often framed and hung with pride by the winners and thereby encourage others to follow their example.
