A Kenilworth cycling novice has taken on his biggest challenge to date to make it to Paris and bring in charity funds.

Thomas Kaval, born and bred in the town, took up the sport just weeks ago, but has already made it 550 miles to France in his big challenge.

The 21-year old was due to arrive at the Eiffel Tower today (Friday) in an effort to bring in £1,500 for Alzheimer’s Society.

Joined by work colleague Nick Ship, the journey took the fundraisers via London, Brighton and Dover before hopefully reaching Paris in the five day trip. Despite having played football for the Wardens since he was six-years-old and being a member of Kenilworth Rugby Club, Tom is brand new to cycling and has already raised over £1,100 for his efforts. Their company, Apex Credit Management, will match fund all money raised. Visit www.justgiving.com/stratford2paris
