Old Leamingtonians players raise more than £1,000 in Race for Life
TEN players and supporters from Old Leamingtonians Ladies Rugby Team took part in the 5k Stoneleigh Race for Life this month.
The group raised over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK, with two players finishing in the top 15 runners.
The team were running for former player Jane Daniel who died in May after losing her battle with cancer, and two current players who are also undergoing treatment.
Captain Hannah Leyland finished fifth overall with a time of 24 minutes and all runners from the team, aged between 18 and 60, completed the race in under 50 minutes.
