Once upon a time there was a dragon...

PIRATES, princesses and the odd cowboy turned up at Whitnash Children’s Centre last week when parents shared nursery rhymes and stories as part of national book day.

Helen Tupman, one of the parent volunteers involved in the Stay and Play session, which is free of charge and held every Thursday from 1.30pm, said: “The children really enjoyed dressing up and listening to a special performance of George and the Dragon.

“We’re a very friendly group and everyone in the area is welcome to call in even with new babies who will enjoy watching what’s going on.”
