A perfect promotional opportunity missed

Leamington Peace Festival was very well organised and a great success and attracted hundreds, if not thousands, of people from far and wide to the Pump Room Gardens.

The weather was kind and everyone had a good time, staying till late evening. It was an opportunity to attract visitors to spend time and money in our town.

It is a pity that the tourist office and visitors’ centre in the Pump Rooms closed at 4pm on Saturday and even earlier on Sunday; can we not afford to pay overtime to the staff for such special weekends? Can we afford not to? - Marianne Pitts, via email.
