Are cuts figments of our imagination?

It was very interesting to read in the latest edition of the local Conservative Party periodical In Touch what the Tories have achieved in Warwick since they came to power here.

One of their claims is that they “...will protect the vulnerable and safeguard essential, front line services” and that they will also “...not make cuts to any services...”!

Obviously then the closure of the local public libraries or the reduction in their hours of opening, the recent severe cuts in the evening bus services and the threat of closure of Coten End Youth Centre etc. plus the large number of empty office spaces in Warwick town centre (previously occupied by the Tory-led Warwick district and county councils) etc., are pure figments of our imagination?

What a good job it is they have our best interests at heart, as just think what it would be like if they didn’t! Ah, but wait a minute, oh silly me, I completely forgot, all of the above was, of course, the fault of the previous Labour Government. - John Payton, Kettlewell Close, Woodloes Park, Warwick.
