Broken down not badly parked

Last Thursday (March 6) whilst on my way back from Yorkshire, my car broke down on the M1. I was recovered and brought home to Whitnash, where I had my car dropped at the side of my home (which is in Tachbrook Road, but which is not easily accessed) in Montgomery Road. We contacted a mechanic who we knew would do the repair at our home (the linkage cables had failed - so I could not get gears - and needed to be replaced).

As it was quite late he apologised that he couldn’t come immediately to look but would come the following day. Unfortunately, the part could not be obtained straight away as a result of which my car is still (Wednesday) in Montgomery Road. I am not happy about this but imagine my absolute fury when I discovered that someone had put a note on my car during the night saying:

‘Hi, Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you had noticed that this was a shockingly inconsiderate place to park?’

My car is not parked......It is broken down......

In my opinion the residents of Montgomery Road and the roads leading off said road, should slow down when they drive round there.

While the mechanic was looking at the car on Monday evening several cars drove in/out of the estate far too fast and we have in the past witnessed ‘near misses’ on the corner. My car is a good distance from the junction with Tachbrook Road, and from the bend in the corner.

The road has no parking restrictions and cars often park there. My car is usually parked on our drive.
