Crossing the party divide

I couldn’t help but noticing Tory Police Commissioner candidate Fraser Pithie railing about hypocrisy on his website recently. Which is strange, considering he applied to join the Labour party, then spent seven years as a Liberal Democrat councillor, and now seeks to become a Tory Police Commissioner. How...flexible!

I’m all for a cross-party consensus and the spirit of bi-partisanship (or should that be tri-partisanship?) but it would be nice if Mr Pithie had to consult with someone other than himself to get it! - Alasdair Russell, Hill Street, Leamington.
