Crown fountains may be more fitting
I have nothing against a rather grand column being built in Christ Church Gardens to commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee, but possibly something else might be considered.
I would liked to have seen the former crown-like fountains in the Jephson Garden Lake, similar to that at Hampton Court, refurbished and working again.
The present modification, I will not grace with name ‘fountains’, would have been more approprate for the Worcestershire village of Wyre Piddle. - Peter Chater, Highland Road, Leamington.
